The Setar is loved worldwide. It is considered as one of the most spiritual Persian Musical Instruments which can connect yourself to yourself, as well as to the audience. The Tanbour, however, is unique. It’s simple but creates a miraculous, spiritual sound. It helps you focus deeply and practice meditation.

My Teaching Philosophy: Blending Mastery and Spirit
My class is a journey. It balances strict technical training with artistic freedom.
We build technical skill using textbook lessons and etudes. Then, we move to improvisation lessons, based on your progress. Crucially, I share the cultural secrets and stories behind Middle Eastern music. This deepens your connection to the art.
We study the lineage of masters like Maestro Keikhosro Pournazeri (Tanbour) and Maestro Hosein Alizadeh (Setar). You’ll learn how to play with emotion, not just notes.

Class Structure
Classes are available online (via Zoom/WhatsApp) for global students. They are also available in the studio for Toronto residents who prefer in-person learning. Sessions are typically 50–55 minutes per week.
