The Mulberry wood on the bowl is extremely unique, making a great symmetrical eye-pattern on the back of the bowl.

About Gahvareh Tanbour:

Asadollah Farmani was born in the year 1954 in the city of Gohvareh, Kermanshah province. He – together with his ancestors – are one of the most famous and skillful tambour makers world-wide. His father, Shamsollah Farmani, and his grandfather, Chengiz, were also renowned and famous tambour makers.
Their handmade tambour is kept and displayed in some of the most prestigious museums in Europe, including the Louvre Museum in France. His tambour-making workshop is a heritage passed down from the Qajar era, and currently, Asadollah Farmani, along with his children and brothers, is engaged in making tambour. Asadollah’s workshop is well-known as the Gohvareh Tambour Workshop, as it is located in the city of Gohvareh, the mother of Tanbour heritage and culture.
The tambour has a tall handle and a pear-shaped shell, usually made from mulberry wood.
The first and most famous album dedicated to introducing the tambour was “Sedaye Sokhan-e Eshq” with the voice of Shahram Nazeri and composed by Keykhosrow Poornazeri.

Material:

The bowl is made of old Mulberry with flawless pattern. Sound board is from vintage Mulbbery, making it a great soundboard with patent texture.
Fret-board is made of old Walnut wood.
